My thoughts, my ideas, my life

So, it has been another year and I've finally came back to the same blog with the same name. However with a different purpose. A lot of things has happened recently and it has set me thinking of a lot of different things. What is the meaning of life? What is happiness? What do we all really want? All these are questions that I try to answer while I ponder upon what to do with my life. Especially being jobless for almost about a year.

I shall once again use this blog as a means and channel to voice out my thoughts and my ideas and hopefully serve as a record for all those ideas. Who knows, a few years down the road, someone might actually stumble into this blog and get to read through all the ideas and concepts that have gone through my head.

I will not be updating this blog frequently but if I do, I probably have had another revelation from my deep thinking process. I hope all these ideas and concept are able to help people to think through on what they really want and what life is really all about.

A story I heard from taxi driver

Well, it's been a long time since I actually wrote something in here. Many things have happened since and I am officially jobless again. But there is however a story that I would like to share to everyone out there who actually follows my blog. It happened to me and it is in fact something told me by a taxi driver (strange, I know).
One of these days, I was taking a cabby down towards town, the cabby driver started talking to me. These were his exact words. "You know, I really don't know what people are doing these days! They don't even have the time to take a slower pace of life. They don't even have the time to sit down and enjoy a nice cup of coffee and neither do they have the time to have a slice of Kaya bread as breakfast."
"What do you mean", I answered.
"Well, isn't it the truth? Let me ask you, do you like working? The answer is obvious, you don't. Who does? The only reason why we are working so hard here is because we have to feed our families and ourselves. If money rains from the sky, do you think you will be working so hard?", he responded.
"Yea, I guess you are right in some sense" answering him in the half interested tone.
At this point of time, he said something which i find both enlightening and revealing. It's those exact words that gave me a Revelation.
"Well kid, let me tell you something, I was an office worker, I am sure you are too from the way you dress. Is there such a thing as working in a team? No. Teams in office doesn't exist. It's call clique work. Not team work. Let me ask you, whats the point of working so hard for, as if you are fighting for your life? You tell me there is this thing known as deadline. Well kid, it doesn't exist. Deadline is something created by your superiors because their positions and life depends on it. Who gains in the end let me ask you? Do you get the credit for "risking" your life for your work? No. The one who gains the credit is the guy who sits in his office enjoying ordering people around. The type of chair that he sits upon are those kind that are able to swing around after he stands up and comfortable to sit on. What about those that we sit upon. Our chair makes our buttocks hurt when sit upon for long period of time and we have to even push it aside just to stand up! Let me ask you kid, are all of those worth it? Sure there are people who enjoy their line of work, I give you that as much. But the truth is, in this society, who really does?" preached by the cabby driver.
Well, at this point of time, I realized something that i failed to realized all my years of living. I can't explain to you my feelings upon hearing that. Those words were simple and easy to understand. The truth was plain simple. After that, he went on about how work will never stop for you, only you can choose to stop it when you want to and that very much i agree. It's up to ourselves to drive and boost our morale and most importantly, it's up to ourselves choose the path we want to go.
There isn't a real fool proof formula to lead the way the life we want and my philosophy of life still stands. I do not want to live a life of regrets and I fight while i still have the strength to. Ever heard of the story of 2 brothers climbing up the staircase with 2 heavy bags and leaving them each level along the way? Well, it's almost the same but in a layman way.
I am not advocating for everyone to quit but instead i would like to share this story to everyone out there who is fighting with themselves everyday doing something they do not like to do. My situation is different. I am blesses that I have no heavy burden to carry and I am able to quit and dream for something that I would like to do and develop upon. But for the least, never stop dreaming. Sometimes, all it takes is to give in everything to get the end results. That guts to take a step forward is the one that's stopping us from achieving what we want.
So, do not be afraid, the world is cruel, it never forgives and it doesn't gives you the chance to try. If that is the case, MAKE your own chance. Force one out and if you succeed, the prize is the greatest you will ever receive. So, take a step forward now and stop dreaming. Make it happen.
I'M-possible!
